ABOUT SORONDO

We are a platform for young artists, fostering a community where creators from diverse backgrounds can thrive. By amplifying their voices and showcasing their craft, we aim to challenge stereotypes, celebrate diversity, and promote empathy and inclusivity. The exploration of identity becomes increasingly pertinent. Through their art, our represented artists offer unique perspectives, shedding light on the complexities of belonging, displacement, and cultural exchange.

The artists represented are young and up-and-coming voices who respect their craft and understand very well the concept of 'otherness,' which is closely connected with the genesis of our project. We only work with artists whom we are very passionate about and whose oeuvre is in between disciplines and mediums. We believe in an open and inclusive concept of art, where diverse perspectives and approaches are not only welcomed, but celebrated.

To continue our commitment to fostering a more inclusive and open art market ecosystem, we have developed a curated exhibition program that showcases the work by our artists in a constant dialogue between materials and the concept of identity. In our space on Trafalgar Street in Barcelona, various disciplines converge: ceramics, textiles, video art, installation, painting, and sculpture. It is precisely this pluralism and respect for materials that create spaces where the creative will of our artists is celebrated and where they are given the opportunity to explore other formats and techniques.

Our program not only seeks to exhibit artworks, but also to create an environment of exchange and reflection that allows visitors to connect with the pieces from multiple perspectives. By highlighting the diversity of materials and approaches, we aim to challenge traditional notions of art and promote a broader and deeper understanding of identity in the contemporary context.

We invite everyone to visit our exhibitions and participate in this ongoing dialogue, where each piece is an invitation to discover new ways of seeing and understanding the world around us.
